What FjordTide is

FjordTide is a coastal planning utility. The app is intended to help you choose a supported place, view astronomical tide predictions and daylight, and keep a dated offline plan. Availability, supported areas and app behavior are described in the app and can change.

What a tide plan is not

A predicted tide is not an observation of actual water level. Wind, weather and local conditions can change the water. FjordTide is not navigation, route planning, boat-clearance guidance, a safe-crossing indicator, a flood warning, weather advice or fishing advice. Do not use it as the sole basis for a hazardous or time-critical decision.

Third-party sources

Norwegian tide data comes from Kartverket’s tide API. Selected Danish prediction-station data may come from DMI’s oceanographic and tidewater API. They are independent services. Coverage, units, reference levels, horizons, availability and terms are controlled by the relevant provider. We retain attribution, the CC BY 4.0 license link where applicable and a notice for FjordTide’s display changes; no provider endorsement is implied.

Offline plans and sharing

An offline plan contains only the dates and source data that were successfully downloaded and saved. It is not a promise of live updates or complete regional coverage. Sharing uses the operating system’s chosen destination; you are responsible for checking what you share.

Website and support

This website is informational and does not include a checkout, account, cookie banner or analytics service. For help, contact support@fjordtide.app. Do not send personal location history or confidential material unless support asks for a minimal diagnostic detail.

Purchases and subscriptions

FjordTide Pro is offered through monthly or annual auto-renewable subscriptions, or a one-time lifetime purchase. The app displays the applicable local price and billing period supplied by Apple before confirmation. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends; you can manage or cancel them in your App Store account settings. Lifetime unlocks Pro without recurring billing, but does not automatically cancel an existing subscription or guarantee uninterrupted third-party tide data. Restore Purchases is available in Settings and on the purchase screen. One saved plan is included without payment; this does not start a subscription.

Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the App Store app.

Changes and availability

We may update these terms as the app and its data sources evolve. If a material change affects the way the app works, the updated date will be changed on this page. Nothing here grants a right to uninterrupted third-party service or a particular coverage area.
